Nice Overall

I put this in my 2010 Lariat. Overall, it is pretty nice. Definitely an upgrade over the hundreds of pushbuttons I had. Steering wheel controls work fine. The main issue I had was the 2 sets of 3 factory buttons that you really need to keep. The Carsoll face only has provisions for ONE set of the 3 buttons. So, do you give up the info/system/reset buttons or the TCS/Hazard/Airbag set? My solution was to wire the TCS and hazard buttons to the Carsoll MODE and Mute buttons. I left the airbag indicator behind the stereo. That one I can live without. It was pretty challenging to make this modification, but it's possible. I'm still getting used to the features to get it setup exactly how I want it, but it works very well.

WARNING!!! BEWARE

1) No way to reset ‘Oil Change Due’. 2) The AC DOES NOT WORK and Carsoll blames wires. 3) lack of owning there faulty unit problem and wash there hands of you as soon as purchased 4) Anyone else had there unit label GTRCAR6 and had scratches on the screen 5) Carsoll seems like an illegitimate entity operating here in the states. They do a great job hiding from the public where they are located. There service strategy is to ignore there problem and hope you go away. The one question I have repeatedly asked this illegal entity is ‘What is the name of the manufacturer so I can contact them to receive assistance.

2010 F 150 Lariat
Unit came on time and in good shape. Wrapped very well. The directions supplied were helpful pertaining to the wiring. The hardest thing for me was getting the trim loose on either side of the OEM unit. You just take the old nav/screen and radio/cd/dvd player out and I recommend taking pictures of the wiring before unplugging just in case. Then on my truck the little cubby hole shelf above the unit had to come out also. Take the new unit and sit it in place where the old one was and start plugging things in. You might have to work through a few glitches like my outside temperature was not working but that was minor. The unit hooked right to I phone CarPlay via Bluetooth and wifi and it had the greatest screen for navigation I’ve ever had. You can see your texts and so many things I haven’t went through yet. I lost functions on the lower right side of the steering wheel. But they weren’t needed anyway. It has its own mute and reach down and turn the volume up and down instead of the button on the wheel. Everything else was still there. I used the buttons for airbag shutoff/4ways/traction control and placed them in the new unit almost where they were. Since I needed to see the odometer/mpg/miles left/and all the other functions I plugged in the second set of buttons and ran them out the top near that little tray where the speaker is on the dash.
All in all the unit is very good. It really looks really great. It takes time to figure all the functions out but it is worth it. People look at it and are amazed.
So if you’re on the fence, go ahead and buy it. You won’t be disappointed. I can’t believe the difference.
